Relic-destroying zealots from the Vesperan coast. First encountered by Wyvern Division at Family Valdieri’s cabin.
What Is Known
The Shard Cult of Vespera is a hostile faction operating out of the Vesperan coast and the Pines of Vespera, with cells expanding into The Wastes. They believe relics and magic are a corruption that must be destroyed.
Their members wear heavy furs, deep hoods, and carved white bone masks. They wield hatchets, axes, and daggers — tools of both combat and ritual.
Methods
The Cult does not hoard or use relics. They destroy them — grinding relics to shards and piercing the fragments into their own skin as ritual scarification. The family at the cabin reported hearing them speak of something called “the Leviathan’s Teeth.”
First Encounter
Wyvern Division encountered a Shard Cult cell at Family Valdieri’s cabin, two days west of Hearth. The Cult had given the family one week to surrender their relics or die. Four bone-masked raiders attacked from the south. The party killed the cell’s leader and routed the survivors, who fled into the Wastes.
