Session 4 - The Toll-Keeper’s Ruin
What Happened
Harriet came to Hearth to find her son, Trotter. In the market, Pippin the scavenger said that he saw Trotter months ago. He sent her to The Blue Flame. There, Luthor Shrike recruited her into the Guild.
The crew chose the Toll-Keeper’s Ruin from the Mission Board. Bandits held the old toll gate and robbed travellers. Heavy Hodor came with them again. Scribe Silas told Harriet that Trotter was found nearly dead some weeks ago. He is probably alive.
On the road, the crew camped with Galil and the White Maw. Galil did not join the fight, but he gave a warning: an ambush waited at the gate.
So the crew went around the gatehouse. Sid shot from the roof. The others attacked through the back window and the barricade. Hodor almost died, and Harriet brought him back with Searing Light. Harriet threw Bivel into the room, and Bivel cleared it. Kylos and Vorik cut through the rest. Sid’s arrow killed Terrence the Terror. Broken Tam was felled. No bandit lived.
Terrence’s Journal tells of a tall Bun-Bun that the bandits robbed. The bandits were Frostwatch deserters. The Guild fed a relic to the Engine.
